Thank you all for your willingness and excitement to “go and make disciples”! And thanks to all who support our missionaries with prayer & funds. To God be the glory!

JR High Youth Gathering

June 2-4, 2023 in Frankenmuth MI

Our students had a great time at the Jr High Youth Gathering! Our theme was — ENOUGH: Galatians 2:20-21 “I’m not fast enough.” “I’m not smart enough.” “I’m not pretty enough.” “I’m not good enough.” These are common thoughts that attack us at many stages of life, but the sad fact is they’re correct! As sinful creatures, we’ll never be fast enough to keep up with all the demands of life; we’ll never be smart enough to solve all the world’s problems or pretty enough to please everybody; we’ll never be good enough to save ourselves or anyone else. But, through faith, we have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us. He is all we need. He is everything we cannot be and so much more. He is enough!

Spring Hill Winter Retreat

Every Winter our Youth venture Up North to Spring Hill in Evart Michigan. There’s lots of winter fun to be had, from sledding, broom ball, horseback riding, zip lining, plus indoor opportunities for swimming, basketball, rope course, crafts and so much more! It’s also a time for lot’s of fun just being together and growing in faith through Bible teaching, small groups and worship sessions. This is our 2023 group!

About the Gathering: Held every 3 years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ and learn about the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.

Countless hours of research, prayer and discussions were poured into the In All Things Thematic Development and Talking points. In All Things is a reminder that the Christian story encompasses all things. Nothing, and no one, is left out. Christ is the single “big idea” in Paul’s letter to the Colossians, and he will be the single big idea at the 2022 LCMS Youth Gathering.
