Friday Night Live — Jr. High Youth
Our next Friday Night Live is May 3 from 6:00-8:00pm — “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” theme. Youth are encouraged to wear Detroit Tiger (or any other baseball) apparel. All junior high youth including confirmands are invited! We’ll have pizza and other baseball treats. Cost is $5. Friends are welcome.

GOD Connects provides an overview of the Christian faith to help you know what St. Paul believes. Our next God Connects classes are scheduled for May 4 & May 11 from 9:00am-12:00pm. St. Paul Spring Clean Up

Sr. High Bibles and Brunch
Bibles and Brunch is Back! . It’s our “Welcome to the Senior High” for the confirmands. May 5, meet immediately after the 11:00 service in the Youth Room.
May Mission Monday
Join us for another fun service event on May 6 at 6:30pm in the Upper Atrium. We will be assembling and packing snack bags for the patients at The Luke Clinic. The clinic is open for patients the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. Each patient, along with their families, receive a snack bag when they check in. The best part of the snack bag is the opportunity for us to include a special message for each person too! All items needed will be provided, as well as light refreshments. All ages are welcome! A new weekly Divorce Adjustment Group at St. Paul will meet May 8 through June 19, from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Staff Lounge. Discussion topics include:

Compassion Sunday
Have you ever thought about sponsoring a child? Compassion International Child sponsor kits will be available May 11 and 12 before and after all services. You can learn about children that have been waiting for sponsors, see photos of each one and learn what your sponsorship would provide for them if you chose to do so. You can choose the child that you would love to sponsor and leave with their photo in your hand! Make sure to stop by the Compassion table in the gathering space!
Men's Ministry Tiger Game
The newly formed Men's Ministry will be having its first seasonal "SPLC In The D" Tiger game on Wednesday May 15, 1:10 game time. Tickets are $20 and space is limited, so sign up in the Gathering Space soon.
Rev'd Up Fun with the Sr. High Youth
The Senior High Youth are headed to Rev'd Up Fun in Woodhaven! This will be a “Welcome to the Senior High” event for our Confirmands as well. May 19 from 1:00pm - 3:30pm. Cost is $20 which covers 5 attractions, an hour of arcade gaming, pizza, and a drink. Please sign-up by May 12, and bring your friends!
Rejoicing Spirits Worship
Join us on Sunday, April 21 as we welcome Cliff and Maggie Gibson and Bella, the Therapy Dog. Cliff and Maggie are Special Olympics Coordinators/Coaches and Founders of Mi Cookie Project.
Rejoicing Spirits is an innovative ministry created to enrich the spiritual lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, friends and other supportive congregation and community members. It offers an interactive and engaging worship and fellowship opportunity which shares God's word and celebrates the message of God's loving grace. The “no-shush” worship setting is open to a variety of needs and offers the opportunity to actively participate and have roles in the service. Rejoicing Spirits meets monthly in the Fellowship Hall for approximately 35 minutes in length, our worship service is followed by fellowship time. Our next service will be held on May 19 at 3:00pm. Friends in Faith Getaway
We are heading to Amish County in Sugar Creek, Ohio to see the Sights and Sounds Production of Ruth. With this trip there are several options. We will be carpooling the 3½ hour drive to the theater for the 1:00pm show. Doors open at 12:30 pm. After the show, those who are spending the night can check into their rooms at the Carlisle Inn/Sugar Creek, then at 6:00 pm we will enjoy an Amish family style dinner at the Dutch Valley Restaurant (both on the same property). The tickets for the show are $60 and include dinner. Sign-up in the Gathering Space, payments are due April 22 so this is the last weekend to sign up.

Trenton Memorial Parade Bike Brigade
Be a part of the Trenton Memorial Day Parade Red, White and Blue Bike Brigade! We’re looking for kids and families of all ages who would like to ride their bikes or walk in the Trenton Memorial Day Parade on Saturday, May 25. Decorate your bikes and join us as we share our church with our community. It’s always a fun time! Invite your friends to be a part of the fun too! Picnic Celebrating Ms. Penny's Retirement
In case you haven’t heard, our very own Preschool Director, Miss Penny is retiring at the end of the 2023-24 school year. Save the date for a special event to be held in her honor on June 2 at N. McLouth Park on Westfield St. in Trenton. Miss Penny will be recognized during weekend services and the picnic will follow immediately after the 11:00 service. It will conclude by 3:00pm. Please bring your own lawn chairs and any yard games you would like to share. Penny has impacted the lives and families of many students over the last 27 years. We know they would like to share their love and stories with her too, so please share this invitation with anyone you know who has been a part of our preschool family. The more the merrier!
Women's Ministry Eastern Market Shopping Day
Let's go shopping together at our Detroit gem — Eastern Market! Saturday, June 15 at 8:30am, we'll meet at Shed 5. We'll explore the market and nearby shops. Bring cash, shopping bags, or potentially a wagon depending on what you're planning to purchase. We won't meet for lunch as a group so everyone can shop and enjoy the market at their own pace, but there is food and coffee for sale and some great nearby restaurants to grab a bite. World Vision Team Training
Our World Vision Team Training starts June 22 at 7:00am at Huron Park in Flatrock. You’re invited to join the team as we train to run or walk the Detroit Half Marathon and Marathon and raise money for clean water for those in need. We train together every Saturday through the summer. Shawn will be filling us in this weekend with all the details and info on this great ministry we support.
Special Friends Camp
Special Friends Camp is a ministry of the LCMS Michigan District that provides a summertime camp experience for adults with cognitive disabilities. Their mission is to share all about our awesome friend, Jesus; provide experiences to participants outside of their normal schedules; and provide caregivers a break from daily responsibilities. Camp dates are July 15-19, 2024. This is an overnight camping experience. Registration for both campers and volunteer counselors is now open. Get more information & register here.

Women's Bible Study
A new Wednesday morning Women’s Bible study, Women of the Bible, begins Wednesday, April 17 and meet thru May 29, from 10-11:30 am. You can still join! No cost. Babysitting is available. Fellowship begins at 9:30 am in Yellow 3 and class begins at 10 am. Space is open to bring a friend, mom, neighbor, etc. Bring your Bible, a drink of water/coffee.
Community Team Meeting
The St. Paul Community Team is having a meeting on April 21 right after the 11:00am service. The meeting will be held in the Community Room. Please join us if you're interested, we'd love to hear your ideas on ways to shine the love of Jesus in our Community.

Women's Beginner Pickleball Skills Lesson
We’re having a Beginner Pickleball Skills Lesson on Saturday, April 20 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Pickleball courts off Pinetree & Lodge in Affolter Park, Trenton. Our very own Lynne Herman will be teaching technique and demonstrating scoring with rotational play. This will be a beginner/refresher day with opportunity to play. Must bring your own equipment. This event is now full.
Friends in Faith Day at Detroit Institute of Arts
On Wednesday, April 17, we are going to do a reboot of the trip that had been planned for January. The DIA will send a bus to St. Paul to pick up the Friends in Faith group and take us to the Detroit Institute of Arts. It will leave at 12:15. We will be given a one-hour tour then, in the second hour you can wander the museum or enjoy lunch on your own in the Kresge Court or the Café DIA. The bus leaves to return to Trenton at 3:00. NO COST.
Youth Fundraiser at BWW
Save the Date! Join us for a fundraiser for our St. Paul Youth, all day Wednesday, April 17 at the Woodhaven Buffalo Wild Wings. A percentage of your bill will go to the Youth Group.
New Adult Bible Study: Minor Prophets
You’re invited to join our new study in Adult Bible, on the Minor Prophets. We’re starting with the book of Amos, and we meet Sundays at 8:30am in the CLC.
Sisters-in-Heart Salad Luncheon
It’s finally time to reveal & pick new Sisters! There will be a salad luncheon on Saturday, April 13, from 11:30 am to 2 pm, in the CLC. Please bring your favorite salad. All women, not only our members, are welcome to attend. Sisters-in-Heart is a ministry where we pray for a sister throughout the year and remember special dates in her life. There will be a signup sheet and Information Sheets to fill out in the binder in the Gatherings Space beginning Saturday, March 23. You can also fill it out HERE and send in electronically. If you’re not able to attend but want to participate, please submit your sheet no later than Monday, April 8. Linda will pick a Sister for you and send her information to you. Jr. High Friday Night Live
The Jr High youth are invited to our “Spring Fling” Friday Night Live on April 12 from 6-8 pm. We will be playing volleyball and enjoying pizza and root beer floats. The cost is $5 and - as always - bring a friend!
LWML Spring Event
LWML will be holding a Spring event on Monday, April 8, at 7:00pm in the Upper Atrium. We will be making Witness Bracelets for Most Ministries. Our own mission team will be going to Guatemala in June and will be handing out these bracelets. All women are invited to attend this event.
Christian Grandparenting Study
Our Intentional Christian Grandparenting group will begin a new study session, Grace Based Grandparenting: Discovering the Secrets to Heart Connection soon. This five session study begins April 8. Easter EggStravaganza Egg Hunt for Kids
The St. Paul Easter EggStravaganza is happening again this year! Kids up to grade 5 and their families are invited to join us on the St. Paul front lawn for this awesome outdoor event! It will be held Saturday, March 30, 9:30 - 11:00 am. There will be three Resurrection Egg Hunts. Kids ages 5 and under will begin at 9:45 am. Kids in grades 1-3 will begin at 10:00 am. Kids in grades 5-6 will begin at 10:15. We will also have music, a family Easter photo op, face painting and much, much more! Bring your own baskets. You won’t want to miss out on this Easter weekend fun!
Homebound Reception
We’ll be showing our Homebound Members all the love this Thursday, following our 1:30pm Maundy Thursday service. Come say “hi” and enjoy some refreshments with us.

Youth Service Project: Packing Easter Gift Bags
The St. Paul Youth will be meeting after the 11:00 service on March 24 to put together Easter gift bags to send to the residents of Downriver Estates, a senior retirement and assisted living facility in Brownstown. The Youth will be developing a connection with the residents to serve as a base for future service projects.
Women's Ministry Kitchen Herb Class
Learn about Kitchen Herbs! Heather Noyce Lakatos, Landscape Architect & Master Gardener, of Garden Artistry, will be giving a talk on how to grow, cut and cook with herbs. Each person will make a small, indoor window herb garden to take home. March 21, 6:00pm in the Gym. Registration is now closed.

Friends in Faith Celtic Celebration
The Friends in Faith will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 16 starting with dinner at 5:00pm at Cracker Barrel in Monroe. After dinner, we're on to the Raisin Centre for the Arts to enjoy a concert of the Cleveland Celtic Ensemble. Enjoy Celtic music with fiddle, flute, whistles, harp, bagpipes and dance in a chamber music setting. Show tickets are $38 each. Sign-up in the Gathering Space. (please note restaurant change.)
Lenten Cube Offerings
Lent Cubes can be returned to the Gathering Space, there are baskets by each doorway. This year all donations will go to the Lutheran Heritage Foundation to help produce printed resources in the Spanish language. Online donating is also available under “giving”.

You can help decorate the Worship Center and CLC for Easter by ordering plants. Order forms are in the Gathering Space. Take your plants home after Easter. Deadline for ordering is March 3.
Luke: Gut-Level Compassion / Women's Bible Study
A new Women's Bible study begins February 14 and will meet through March 27. Join us for this study by Lisa Harper on the literary masterpiece that is the Gospel of Luke. Together we'll discover that perfection is not a prerequisite for a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. We’ll meet Wednesdays from 10:00am - 11:30am in Yellow 3. You can sign up in the Gathering Space. Babysitting is available so please let us know if you need it.
Kids Word Bible Presentation
Kids Word Bible Presentation will be held on Sunday, February 18 during the 11:00am worship service. We’re excited to present our kids who attended the "What the Bible’s All About” class with their Action Bibles! Contact Don Busse for info.
Holy Week & Easter Choir
New choir sessions are starting! As always, choirs at St. Paul are open to anyone high school age and older, members and non-members, and there are no auditions required! WORSHIP CHOIR: Sings for worship services twice per month; each weekend that this choir sings has just one rehearsal, so you can opt in and out as your schedule permits. Check the schedule for current rehearsal dates. HOLY WEEK CHOIR: first rehearsal is Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 pm. We will be working on music for the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday worship services (March 28 & 29). EASTER CHOIR: first rehearsal is Thursday, February 15 @ 8:00 pm and will sing for the 8:00 am and 9:30 am services on Easter Sunday, March 31. Questions? Contact Kim or Cherie in the church office.
