Mission
Trip Opportunity to Neah Bay,
Washington
The impression that a short-term mission trip
involves a trip out of this country is misleading. The Mission Task Force is
presenting a mission trip opportunity that is within the confines of the 48
continental United States. St. Paul Lutheran Church
will be taking a trip to Neah Bay,
Washington from April 17-25,
2010.
The trip involves a construction project at a
LAMP – US site (Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots – United States).
About a year and a half ago, we had a visit from Dave and Rosemary Sternbeck
from Neah Bay, Washington, and they spoke of the work and
opportunities they have to bring the Word of Jesus Christ to the local Indian
tribe. Our project will be to help finish a community building at the Makah Lutheran
Church on the Indian reservation in Neah Bay.
Who might go on this trip? We are looking for carpenters,
electricians, plumbers, general laborers, and even a cook. Just about anyone
can be of some assistance. The trip will be reasonably priced and it will be
completed in just one week, from a Saturday to the following Sunday.
