Becoming a member of a church is a big step. Membership in a congregation means supporting and sharing in that congregation's ministry with our prayers, our time, our talents, and our treasures. Because we take membership seriously, we request that everyone who wants to become a member of St. Paul attend both of our new member courses before becoming a member of St. Paul. Below is a brief description of these courses.
Faith Basics – This eight-week class teaches the basic doctrines of the Christian faith. This no-obligation class is your first step in becoming a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. For more information, please contact the Church Office.
Welcome to the Family – Being a member of St. Paul will include being active in service to God, His people, and the world. This six-week course will introduce you to St. Paul’s staff and leaders. The final two weeks of the course offers a spiritual gifts inventory to help you discover your spiritual gifts and begin an active life as a disciple of Jesus Christ and member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. For more information, please contact the Church Office.
If Christianity is completely new to you, the ten-week Alpha Course is a great place to begin learning about the Bible, God, Jesus, and what it means to be a Christian. Alpha is a great place to meet other new Christians. Each weekly meeting includes a meal, lecture, and a small group discussion.
